Lechon Kawali Recipe


Lechon Kawali is one of the most popular dish in the Philippines. It serve during special occasions and can also be a good pulutan. Lechon Kawali(pan roasted pork) derived its name from its way of cooking. It a pork belly deep fried in a kawali (wok). It's crispy skin is best serve with the special sauce. Want to try this dish? Recipe of Lechon Kawali


Ingredients

  • 1/2 kilo pork belly
  • 4 pieces bay leaf
  • 6 cloves garlic
  • pepper
  • salt
  • magic sarap
  • cooking oil

Sauce:


  • 3 table spoon vinegar/sinamak (optional)
  • 1 table spoon sauce
  • 1 piece calamansi
  • 1 garlic clove ,minced
  • 2 pieces chili pepper (optional)

Cooking Procedure

  • 1. Prepare all ingredients.Put a big pot enough to for the meat.
  • 2. Bring to boil for 45 minutes to 1 hour or until the meat is tender.
  • 3. Drain and cool.
  • 4.Deep fry until it turns golden brown.
  • 5. Towel dry or u may use table napkin.
  • 6.Mix all ingredients for the sauce.
  • 6.Serve hot.
